(661) 822-4443 | Worship every Sunday @ 10:30 a.m.
Want to learn more about our church? Here are some general frequently asked questions to get you started.
Services begin at 10:30AM, and last approximately one hour. Afterwards, there is a Coffee Time in Friendship Hall, where you can have a snack and get to know people in the congregation.
The church has a parking lot east of Friendship Hall (off of E Street) with plenty of parking (including handicapped spaces.) You are also welcome to park on E or Green Streets, if you prefer.
No, dressing up is not required to worship at Tehachapi Community Church. Some people wear jeans, others wear their “Sunday best,” and most are somewhere in between. However you feel most comfortable, we encourage you to come as you are.
We are part of the United Church of Christ, a mainline Protestant denomination [similar to Presbyterians, American Baptists, and Disciples of Christ] with nearly one million members across the United States. (Please see link at the bottom of the home page for more information.) You do not have to belong to the denomination to attend worship or to participate in any events at the church . Many people in our congregation come from other faith traditions [Roman Catholics, Methodists, Lutherans, etc.]
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of every month, and practice an Open Table, where everyone is welcome to participate.
If you are visiting TCC for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. Come in, engage in worship, stay for the Coffee Hour after the service, and meet your new friends.
