We join our community on the First Friday of each month in holding a monthly open house for the community. Each month we have a different theme, invite different guests to share and interesting and interactive presentation or activity of some kind.
2014
FIRST FRIDAY – February 7 – 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. – Jeffery Mensendiek, our missionary to Japan, will present The Church in Japan – Witnessing to God’s Saving Love in post-Fukushima Japan. He will provide slides and information about relief efforts following the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear spill that occurred. He will also discuss ongoing issues as Japan now prepares to host the 2020 Olympics. As usual, our First Friday event will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., but Jeffrey will need to leave after his presentation. Come to hear him speak, taste some sushi, and fold some origami. See you then!
